Estimated AP score
4
- Weighted composite
- 66.6 / 100
- Composite points to next score
- 8.4
How this APUSH estimate is built
- Score multiple choice out of 55 (40%).
- Sum three short-answer questions on a 0–3 scale (max 9, 20%).
- Score the DBQ on the 0–7 rubric (25%) and the LEQ on the 0–6 rubric (15%).
- Composite = weighted sum of (raw ÷ max) × weight × 100.
- Map the composite to 1–5 with this site’s unofficial cutoffs.
College Board has announced AP history free-response updates effective May 2027; verify rubrics for your exam year.
Good for practice
- Seeing whether a weak DBQ is dragging a strong MC performance
- Planning study time between SAQ drills and LEQ thesis practice
- Converting a full practice exam into one transparent composite
- Comparing “what if I earn one more DBQ point?” scenarios
Do not treat as an official score
- Using AP World or AP Euro cutoffs on an APUSH composite
- Entering SAQ totals out of 12 after misreading the rubric
- Forgetting DBQ is 25% — larger than the long essay’s 15%
- Assuming May 2027 rubric wording changes alter these published weights before they take effect
